MAGiS

MAGiS is a long-term project designed to foster Ignatian Spirituality in young adults aged 18 to 30. It accompanies and supports its members as they move into adulthood, helping them to achieve fulfilment in their lives through a faith that does justice. Ultimately, MAGiS aims to produce leaders—people with a sense of God’s place in their lives and the capacity to build a better world.

MAGiS participants meet fortnightly to reflect, pray, and share a meal, using Ignatian Spirituality as their template. They are also exposed to a range of social justice initiatives, particularly where they relate to Jesuit ministries. MAGiS focuses on strengthening bonds of friendship and understanding through its annual Summer Programme, which includes Experiments both locally and abroad.

The nourishment provided by MAGiS has sustained many members as they discover their identity in their work, at home, and in relationship with others.

Christian Life Community

The Christian Life Community (CLC) way of life invites us to encounter God in all the various aspects of our everyday life, reflect on these experiences, become more aware of God's activity in these experiences, and respond in ever more authentic ways to God's desire within our individual lives and our communal lives.

The Christian Life Community...

•  is a lay international Catholic organisation
•  is a world community lived out in small local communities
•  has a common way of life based on the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius
•  has members from all walks of life
•  helps members to respond more fully to God
•  helps me find God in my experience
•  helps me to integrate my faith and life
•  helps me to make decisions for more effective action

While not a work of the Australian Jesuits, the Christian Life Community is aligned with the Society's spiritual mission.
